Responsibilities
Lead software engineering efforts for entire products or subsystems, from concept through production. Manage the product lifecycle and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Design, develop, and test software modules covering diverse drone applications such as connectivity with LTE and 5G, improved navigation algorithms, collision avoidance, safety monitoring, etc.
Conduct technology and process research to develop products that achieve lofty performance requirements
Perform simulation, testing, and analysis to ensure products that live up to InDro Robotics name
Multi-task across a range of projects in varying stages of development while meeting schedules and hitting milestones.
Provide cross-functional support to internal and external teams
Mentor and teach whenever possible
Qualifications
5+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying industrial drone or autonomous robotic solutions
Flight control development experience (PX4, Ardupilot, or other) with emphasis on flight controller architecture, control loops, state estimation, state logic, trajectory generation, safety
Experience developing for Embedded Linux using GCC toolchain, gcc, make, gdb, openocd
Strong understanding of microcontroller architecture and programming
ARM Cortex M3/M4/M7 experience
Emphasis on real-time high bandwidth control system theory, design, and implementation
Serial digital communication knowledge (UART, I2C, CAN, SPI)
Hands-on experience with measurement and test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc)
Experience with git or other version control systems
Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
Passion for learning, iterating, and first principles
